Our Life in Elko

To say living in Elko has been a crazy adjustment would be a total understatement!!!! It has been so cold at times that I thought I was losing my mind from staying indoors most of the time. We are all the sudden having to worry about things that we didn't even give a thought to while living in sunny Az. Like remembering to start the car 15 minutes before we have to leave for preschool. Making sure the kids always have their coats, hats, and gloves every time we leave the house has totally thrown me. Always checking the weather to see if it might be warm enough to go to the park....and lots of etc....Anyway but all-in-all we are starting to get use to this new way of living and are enjoying this small town feel. The people are some of the nicest I've ever meet and the mountians that surround us are beautiful. We are really looking forward to doing lots of camping this summer:)

Addelyn's preschool had a cowboy/cowgirl day last Thursday. Adde got to wear her cowgirl stuff and she was so excited. They also had a cowboy breakfast when they arrived and I was told by Mrs. Hendrix that Miss Adde Mae ate 5 whole pancakes:) needless to say she didn't eat any lunch that day!

Alivia 18 months Today

At 18 months Alivia loves Dora, hugs, her blankie, anything her Daddy likes to eat, play chase, act like a monster, talk on the phone, her sissy, mommy and daddy.
She talks, runs, jumps, wrestles and is pacifier free.....YAY!!! She is growing up too fast. Livvy brings such joy into lives and we are so thankful she's part of our family.

So yesterday we got to play a lot with cousins. We're getting in all the time we can before moving to Elko next week. The kids had a blast just being together while I helped Jeanette (my sister-in-law) with her very first sewing project. It was awesome to help her and to see her catch on so quick....she's a natural!!!

1. She makes fun everywhere she goes. Does not matter the place.

2. Her constant singing and dancing.

3. Such a rock-star big sister.

4. She changes into about 100 outfits a day. We never know what to expect!

5. Her love and concern for her family. Especially her cousin Nate.

6. Always trying to fit into Livvy's clothes even though they are way too tight.

7. The way she tells us she wants whiskers like Daddy...lol!

8. She always rolls down the back window at the bank and asks the teller for suckers.

9. Whenever her cousin Nate is in trouble or sad she always is on his side no matter what....then she tries to stand up to the adults about it....seems to always be Uncle B...lol!

10. The sweet little put very long prayers that come out of her mouth.

A TIME OF THANKFUL HEARTS

As most of you know Dave landed a job in Elko, NV!!! YAY!!! Finally after 5 months being out of school:) We feel so blessed at this time in our lives. We know we have been guided in this direction in life for a reason and we are looking forward to making some new friends in Elko. We will most definitely miss our family and friends in AZ but if you have been in contact with our family these past 8 months you would know that this has been a very long time coming and are happy that we'll get to be a family again! Getting ready Elko the ATTRIDGE FAM IS COMING TO TOWN....WATCH OUT...LOL!

HOLIDAY/GOODBYE GIFT FOR MS. JONES

Addelyn and I made some peppermint bark for her teacher....let just say sooo yummy! If you have never tasted it before it's a must. If you want the recipe just let me know...I'm so happy to share!

Rainy Days & A Bike Project

Here in AZ we love rainy days in the hot summer!!!! Addelyn kept bugging me to go and dance in the rain with her so of course I couldn't resist.

This is an old bike that we got from Grandma Rae and Papa Larry's neighbors. It's about to become a girl bike for Addelyn.

When we asked her what color of bike she wanted she said purple....so purple is what she got!!!! That and the some princess accessories.

So I haven't been very good at facebooking or blogging lately. It's soooo hard to find the motivation after a long day with the girls! Because it's been so long since my last post I'm going to make a list of some of the things going on in our lives~

1. Dave is at lineman school in CA and is doing great! He's won several awards and seems to be his teachers favorite. Of course I can see why:) He has a little over a month left! Time has really gone by fast and we're grateful for that.
2. The girls and I have pretty much stayed in WA for the past 2 1/2 months.....with a one week trip to CA to see Daddy. We've had a fantastic time visiting lots of family and friends!
3. Addelyn is 3 1/2 years old and Alivia is 10 months. I can't believe we'll be celebrating Alivia's first b-day in two months~
4. We still don't know where we will end up living after Dave gets out of school but we know that the Lord has a plan for us so we're not worried about it:)
5. Last weekend Dave was able to come and visit**** We spend some time in Okanogan with his family then spend the rest of the time by ourselves and got some good time in together:) We were able to go to Ohme Gardens and see all the beautiful water, trees, and flowers. Addelyn loved being our tour guide......She kept saying.....Come on kids follow me......then it turned into the follow the prophet song:) She's so funny and doesn't fail to make me laugh everyday!

We are soooo trying to make the best out of this move! It's been so hard with good-byes and not knowing the next time we're going to see some of our friends and family. The two loves I'm talking about are my love for skirts and my even bigger love SHOES!!!! Anyone who knows me knows my love for shoes and the ridiculous amount of them I own:) So when I'm not getting a pair for myself....I'm making some for my girls~ Here are the shoes I just made Alivia! They are pretty plain right now and I'll probably add to them later but I thought they turned out soooo cute and they're so soft:) I can tell you right now that I'll be making these in every color for her!!!

Here is the skirt I made yesterday. I was in the mood to wear something different for church so I decided to whip up this!!! It was fun to make and I felt like a new woman:)

About a week ago was Addelyn's first trip to the Dentist and as a her mother and a dental assistant myself you can imagine how excited and proud of her I was:) She did soooo good and actually ask to go back there a couple of days ago. This office was by far the best looking dental office I had ever seen. It's was decked out with tons of toys, video games, t.v.'s, etc.....really almost anything and everything you can thing of was there. I'm so glad Adde did so good and happy that her first experience at the dentist was a good one!

I love this time of year! It's a time of giving, sharing, receiving, remembering, cooking, etc... We already have the tree up, the house decorated, and the cooking has started. Yesterday Addelyn, Alivia, and I made gingerbread cookies...OK Addelyn and I did while Liv watched and dosed off from time to time:) She is seriously is the best baby I could ask for:-) By the time the cookies were baked and frosted the kitchen was a mess....but it's all good cause we had a blast! Happy Christmas Everyone!

Alivia Marie was born on 8*3*09 at 11:23 am:) She came in at 7.5 lbs and 20 inches long. She has dark hair and we definitely see our Addelyn in her, but make no mistake she is her own person. A very good baby!!! Addelyn was more of a challenge that's for sure. Life is great with two children. Addelyn loves her baby sister and wants to be a part of everything we do. I love to see the bonding that is going on between my two beautiful babies! Here are some pictures of our beautiful Alivia. She is such a joy to have in our home already! We love u Alivia!

This past weekend we went to Queen Creek (where my brother and his family live) to go to this community splash party that was put on by their HOA. I loved it because not only did we have a blast but everything was free. A day of fun with no cost. That doesn't happen very often:) Anyway, here's some pictures of the party!

Addelyn had her first swim lesson today. She did really well and was a little too brave at times. I'm so glad that she'll be learning to respect the water more. For those of you that know Adde really well are not surprised to find out that she kept calling her instructor that she could do it all by herself. All the other parents there got a real kick out of it. This will definitely be an interesting two weeks!!!

For Father's Day Weekend Dave wanted to go for a little trip over night and out of town to a little place called Camp Verde Az. There they have a Zoo called Out of Africa. We spent a whole day there and it was so fun because we were able to get really close to all the animals and even pet and feed some of them. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. It's a great little get-a-way for the family. I look forward to when we can go back:)

For those of you that know me well, you know that I love to find old treasures from yard sales, goodwill, any second hand store and fix them up like new. I found this desk last Saturday at the Goodwill down the street. It was a very light oak color. I bought it for $40 plus a little for the green paint and BAM....I have a new and kind of vintage looking desk. I just love the way it turned out. Is it bad that I like to sit and look at it on my free time:) Man, I can be a total dork sometimes! Teehee!!!! Sorry this picture is kind of bad...I took it with my phone.

We had such a good time on our month long trip to Washington. We were able to see lots of family and old friends. I took so many pictures that I decided to put some on one collage. We are also so happy to be home and wait for the new addition to our family. The count down is on.....8 WEEKS:) But I do have to say, between all the visitors we had this past spring and our trip to Wa....this pregnancy has gone by really fast. I can't wait to see our new baby girl:)

So I took Addelyn to the doctor today because she really hasn't been feeling well. I thought for sure that the doctor would tell me she has bronchitis (since a little boy I watch catch that while I was watching him). Anyway, so we get to the doctor, run all the tests, and he tells me she has pneumonia. WHAT! I would have never thought she had that. Now I would gladly take bronchitis over pneumonia. My poor baby! I get checked tomorrow to see if I have it....plus it's the same day we find out the sex of the baby. I'm so excited but a little nervous that I have pneumonia since I've had pretty much all the symptoms that Adde has had. Ok, everyone wish me luck that I don't have pneumonia:) I will post the sex of the baby tomorrow!!!!!

Oh the pain...

So Dave's family was in town for a bit.....the bad thing is.....my camera was broken most of the time. So I'm calling all sister-in-laws who took pictures while everyone was here....to send me thier's (if they don't mind). It was great seeing everyone and I can't wait until we can do something like that again. My sister-in-law Kim (aka BFF) was able to stay an extra 4 days after everyone left. Boy did we have a blast and already miss each other. Addelyn and Isaac got along so well. They were really loving on each other by the end of the 4 days. Here are a few things that Kim and I just died with laughter over.

1. Us walking into the room....Adde sitting on top of Issac and Isaac smiling and laughing about it.

2. Adde deciding to paint the inside of Isaac's ear...yeah he didn't like that to much.

3. Adde coming out of my bedroom covered in diaper rash cream......so I had to give her a another bath....#3 for that day.

4. Isaac hugging Adde and putting his head on her shoulder......that was the cutest thing!

5. Addelyn called Isaac....Baby Eyes!

Anyway, while they were here I was able to take a couple of pictures of Issac....I thought they turned out pretty cute!

Be my Valentine.....

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day! Dave and I went to the movie...."He's just not that into you" and let me just say...LOVED IT! It's now added to one of my favorite movies list. Also my mom was able to come and spend Valentine's with us (we were able to go to a movie friday night). She was so kind to watch Adde while I went and got a manicure and pedicure Saturday morning. Wow, did that feel good! All in all it was just how I wanted to spend Valentine's Day....with some of the people I love the most!

These are the cupcakes Addelyn and I made for V-Day. They were red-velvet, with cream cheese frosting, and chocolate sprinkled on top. Yummy, Yummy, Yummy! I could not stay out of them. So much for not gaining a lot this pregnancy!

Adde enjoying the red cupcakes....at first she wasn't sure she wanted to eat them. She kept saying..."Mommy blood, are you okay," I had to remind her a few times that it wasn't blood. Too funny!

This is the V-Day dress I made Addelyn. She loves this dress and doesn't want to take it off....I'm glad she loves something I made her. I thought the dress turned out pretty cute!

The rose that Adde and I made for my mom. We went to the flower shop (it smelled so good in there, I didn't want to leave) and picked out the perfect hot pink flower. Then when we got home we painted it with some glue and put some sliver glitter on it to make it look beautiful. My mom loved the flower and the home-made card we made her as well.Adde had my mom and I laughing so hard! She managed to get on 9 layers of shirts and 4 pairs of pants on at the same time. With each layer of clothing she was getting more and more frustrated because the clothes were getting harder and harder to put on. By the time she was done she was walking around like a big fat marsh mellow. She even fell down and could not get back up....so she'd just rolled herself to where ever she was headed. Talk about a funny kid! She does the craziest things sometimes!

Zoo Lights

So, we were able to go to the Zoo lights at the Phoenix Zoo. There were about 2.5 million lights all over the zoo and lots of Christmas music. It was beautiful. There were lights in the huge trees, a carousel (which Adde cried when she had to get off), the smell of popcorn in the air, and of course the animals. It was so fun. I definitely want to make this a new holiday tradition.

Jessica Hill - is one of my oldest best friends. Jess and I grew up together and have many many memories. We've seen each other through the good times and the not so good times. She is someone that I know will always be one of my best friends. I'm so glad she lives in Az.

Trista Teeter- is another friend that I grew up with. She has an amazing talent in photography and has two beautiful children. I wish she was here in Az to hang with Jess and I.

Aubree Wright- is my first friend that I met in Az over 4 years ago. Wow! Where has the time gone. She is one of the most understanding people I have in my life. She is true and really cares for those she loves! I so grateful to have her in my life!

Maylene Poulsen- she is one of my newer friends that I met in our new ward. She so nice and helpful. I can't wait to get to know her more.

Tiffany Child- is someone that I consider family. She's Jessica's older sister and has probably watched Jess and I do some ridiculous things. I love being able to hang with her while she's in town cause she's hilarious!

So, I haven't felt this way about a movie since Mama Mia. I'm lame and have already seen Twilight twice (once with Dave and once with my mom). I have to say that it was even better the second time. What can I say....I'M IN LOVE! (Sorry Bryan & Es, don't agree with you on this one, but that's ok cause I love u guys anyway).I'm so glad that I'm not the only one. Most of my friends and family feel the same way! My sister-in-laws Kim and Kelli called (on three-way) the day after I saw it to talk about the movie and they were mad that I was going to see it twice before they even saw it once. I just wish we could have went together. I love my roomies and wish we could just hang out like the old days. Hint, Hint.....come and see me girls!!!! You look CUTE Kim, and leave it alone Kelli (sorry had to add those inside jokes). I have to admit that talking with the both of you together on the phone the other day makes me miss you guys tons! Kiss! Kiss! Anyway, back to the movie..... it was funny, intense, and unbelievable. My only complaint would be that it was to short. Because the 2 hrs went by way to fast. They needed to make it like 4 hrs long! I'm definitely planning on seeing it again in theatres because both Dave and my mom want to see it again. Oh happy day! Ok, so everyone that knows Addelyn knows about her fascination with shoes (especially mine). Well these past couple of weeks she has added a new one......WEARING DADDY'S CONSTRUCTION GLASSES! I love that she wants to be just like her dad. He's her hero! Anyway, I got some pictures of her wearing them this morning. I have to admit that she looks pretty funny!

YES! YES! YES! That's what I said. My Mom was so kind to take Addelyn for the weekend so Dave and I could have sometime to ourselves. She's always so good about knowing when I'm totally stressed to the max and offered to take her. We had the best weekend! We ate at our favorite restaurants, went shopping, slept in, watched a movie, went on a hike, took a nap. It was like a fairy tale!!! Loved it! I don't think we stopped smiling the whole time! It was very much needed. Thanks so much Mom! You're the best!

We were able to go on a hike this morning! I love hiking. I think it's a really good way to appreciate the great outdoors and clear your head.

It was so unbelievably beautiful.

So my wonderful sister-in-law Esther just did a blog post about Grandma Mary Lou (Dave's Grandmother) who passed away about a year and a half ago, so she inspired me to do the same. This is a picture of Addelyn and her a couple of months before she died. Adde is so fortunate to share a birthday with this amazing person. She was and still is loved for her never ending service to her family and everyone she came in contact with. I believe that she was the nicest person I have ever had in my life and I can only hope that she rubbed off on me at least a little. We miss her sweet smile, her wonderful cooking and the way she made time for everyone no matter how busy she was. She always made people feel important. We love her so much and can't wait until we can be with her again someday!

Today our baby turns the big two! We can't believe how fast the time has gone! It seems like yesterday we brought her home from the hospital. We had a little birthday party for her yesterday and she was so excited all her friends were there. She got lots of presents but I think her favorite was the Ariel Bike Mommy and Daddy got her. She didn't want to get off of it. Thanks to everyone that came. We had a blast. Enjoy the pictures!

We hope that everyone had a fun Halloween this year. Here are some picture from Halloween night and our ward Trunk or Treat. We bought the Seahawks Cheerleading outfit when we were in Washington this past summer. So Dave had to have her wear it at least one of the nights. Adde had so much fun treat or treating. By the end of the night she was going up to the houses and trying to open the door instead of knocking. It was cute!

General Conference

As many of you know that General Conference is one of my favorite weekends. What a blessing we have to listen to our beloved Prophet and many others speak of the truthfulness of the Gospel. I feel truly blessed to have this truth in my life. I don't know where I would be without it!

Oprah Show!

I watched The Oprah Show yesterday and was haunted by this women's story! So haunted that I couldn't sleep last night. I think every mother should read this! It really helps put our lives into check.

For any mom who's ever felt frazzled, overwhelmed or rushed, Oprah says this show is for you. "It's your wake-up call to slow down," she says. "What happened to my guest today could so easily happen to any of you."

Brenda Slaby says she was once an assistant principal and mother of two who tried her best to be "supermom."

"It was very hard trying to be the perfect mom and the perfect employee," she says. "I try to be everything to everybody. … I've always been the kind of person that lived for doing things for other people."

Then, on a hot August afternoon in 2007, she says she went from being a good role model for children, a good administrator and a good parent to being the most hated mom in America.

When Brenda woke up on August 23, 2007, she says she knew she had a busy day ahead of her. Summer vacation was coming to a close, and it was the first day back for teachers at her school. That morning, the rush to get out the door was more frantic than usual, she says.

Brenda and her husband, Gary, got their two young daughters, Allison and Cecilia, dressed and ready to go. Then, in a departure from their regular routine, Brenda loaded 2-year-old Cecilia into her car to take her to the babysitter's house.

"I had a dentist appointment, and I asked Brenda to take Cecilia," Gary says. "I normally took both Cecilia and Allison, dropped Cecilia off at the sitter and Allison off at preschool."

With Cecilia sleeping in the backseat, Brenda pulled out of the driveway at about 6 a.m. When she realized it was too early to drop her youngest child off, she decided to run a quick errand. Brenda stopped at the store to buy doughnuts, a treat for the returning teachers.

After loading her car with snacks, she got on the road that led to her school and drove straight there. With her mind racing through all the things she needed to accomplish before teachers arrived, Brenda got right to work. "I had lots of things to set up," she says. "I was nervous and frantic that morning because it was such an important day to get the school year [off] to a great start."

The day began with a staff meeting, followed by lunch. While chatting with new teachers between meetings, Brenda says she talked about her daughters. "My feeling was it was a great first start," she says. "It was going to be a great school year, and it was a great start to the day."

At about 4 p.m., Brenda was in her office, getting ready to head home when all hell broke loose. "A good teacher friend of mine—sometimes I think it was a blessing it was her—was on her way home, and she walked by my car," Brenda says. "She ran into my office and she said, 'Brenda, your baby's in the car.'"

Brenda immediately grabbed her keys and raced to the parking lot. "I knew what I was going to find," she says. "I opened my car door, and I remember hearing the voices around me. Teachers who were close to me [were] screaming."

When she got to her car she found Cecilia in the backseat, still strapped into her car seat. Brenda says she grabbed her daughter out of the car as fast as she could, but she knew it was too late.

"I knew she was gone as soon as I picked her up, I knew," she says. "I remember I took her, and I ran through the parking lot with her, screaming her name. Then, what brought me kind of to consciousness, I guess, was somebody from the cafeteria yelled for me to bring her here."

Brenda says she handed her lifeless daughter to someone who tried to revive her. Then, she retreated to another part of the cafeteria and began to pray. "I heard people yelling for ice, and I sat in a ball and I prayed," she says. "I prayed harder than I've ever prayed in my life. … But I knew she was gone."

Cecilia died of a heatstroke after being left in the car for nearly eight hours. Outside, temperatures had reached 100 degrees.

Gary was working when he received a frantic call from Brenda's principal. "He said, 'Get over to the school right now,'" Gary says. "And I said, 'What's up?' [He said,] 'It's an emergency.'"

In the car on the way to his wife's school, Gary says he never considered that his child's life might be in danger. "The whole time I'm thinking, 'What disgruntled employee did something crazy?'" he says. "I said, 'Well, maybe something happened to Brenda.'"

When Gary pulled into the school parking lot, he says he saw a lot of commotion. Brenda's principal pulled him off to the side to tell him what happened. "He looked at me and he says, 'Cecilia's dead,'" Gary says. "I didn't even think to ask him, 'How? Why?' I just got up and sort of walked off to be by myself. I was just in shock. I didn't know what to do."

Despite his grief, Gary says he has never blamed his wife for Cecilia's death. "I could have done the same thing very easily," he says. On nights when his wife had to work late, Gary says she'd ask him to pick up the girls from the babysitter's house, a break from their normal routine. A few times, he says he forgot.

"I get out of work thinking about what I'm going to do when I get home, this and that. I'm going up the highway, [I realize,] 'Oh, my gosh. I left her at the sitter's,'" he says. "I would have to turn around, go back and get her."

Gary doesn't hold Brenda responsible, but Brenda still blames herself. "I realized the most important person in the world to me lost out because I didn't plan well enough," she says. "She's the one that slipped through the cracks."

The day Cecilia died, Brenda was taken to a police station where she was questioned for more than two hours. During her emotional confession, she says police officers were empathetic. "Never during the questioning did they seem accusatory," Brenda says. One officer assured Brenda that no one thought she meant to hurt Cecilia.

Brenda, on the other hand, was not easy on herself. "Good mothers don't do this," she said during the questioning. "How could I not think of my daughter? I want to die. I just want to die."

Brenda admits she had left Cecilia in a running car before, but she says she never made a habit of it. "The day that Cecilia died was so different because I completely forgot that she was there," she says.

While the police may have been empathetic, Brenda says her community was not. "My community was in outrage," she says. "I was the most hated mom."

Although Brenda says her staff and principal were wonderful to her, she says the decisionmakers in the school district decided they wanted nothing to do with her.

Although coping has been difficult, Brenda says she has found a higher purpose that is helping her move forward. "Almost immediately, I said, 'How am I going to make something out of this?' I have been given this to bear for a reason, and I'm not going to let Cecilia's life be in vain. That I'm going to use what I've learned in this whole process to change lives for other people."

Brenda says the lesson she learned that she wants to pass on to other moms is to slow down—don't become overwhelmed with perfection. "I've learned to say a lot, 'It just doesn't matter,'" she says. "The house doesn't matter, the perfect dinner doesn't matter—the kids matter."

We went for a day for lunch to a little town about an hour away from Okanogan. I got to ride with Larry (my fantastic father-in-law) on his motorcycle on the way down. I loved it and it was such a rush. I've now made that our tradition together whenever I visit in the summer.

I had so much fun watching Adde in Grandma's yard playing with the water. It was a fight to get her to come inside when it was getting to cold outside.

So Auntie Kelli was giving a massage to a guy down stairs and while she was doing that, Adde decided to steal his boots. I thought it was pretty cute because she could barely walk in them.
She was always into the fridge and could take out pretty much whatever she wanted. Everyone in the house was so tired of having to guard the fridge about every second of the day.

One of Addelyn's new passions is riding with her Papa on his motorcycle. I love this pic with Isaac and Kaedn.

I was so glad that Kim and Isaac were able to come and spend a week in Okanogan while we were there. We had so much fun just hanging out and going to Walmart about 10 times a day.

Adde was always trying to give Isaac his pacifier or feed him gold fish. Kim and I always had to watch her to make sure she wasn't trying to feed him. She actually got a gold fish cracker in his mouth one time. Scared Kim and I to death. We now look back on that and laugh. Good thing we were right there.

Washington Up-date!

Hey Everyone,
Just letting everyone know we made it to Washington in one piece. We actually made it in under 48 hrs. Crazy stuff. Adde was my little angel the whole way, at least in the car, 23 hr drive!!! Thanks to Bryan and Esther we at least got a couple hours of sleep. Adde was just to excited to see her Uncle Bry to sleep, so I thought what the heck...I'll just leave know since I'm not sleeping anyway. That was at 12:30 am. We finally got to Okanogan at about 2:30 pm. It was perfect timing.
Well now it's been a little over a week and we are having so much burning the candle at both ends. Adde has been very busy getting into everything possible at Grandma and Grandpa's house. All in all we're having a blast so far. We can't wait to see the rest of you soon!

Washington here we come!

As many of you know Adde and I will be going to Washington for a month or so. I Don't really have a set time when we'll be returning since I have a break from school. We're really excited to see Grandma, Papa, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and many friends. I can't wait to see all the green again since we don't get much of that here in Arizona. We're planning on doing many things on our visit and are excited to see everyone. Especially to get a break from the heat. I will definitely post pics of our trip when I get the chance. Can't wait to see all of you soon!

STORY TIME!
Yes we did it! We finally got rid of the pacifier for good. Yesterday I was at Jess's house. I cut it and gave it back to her. She looked at it, tried putting it back in her mouth, then looked at me like, "Mom what the heck is going on?" We kind of laughed and had her throw it away. She did pretty good on the way home. She cried just a bit. Then the night came and it was time for bed. Boy, was she mad. All through the night she kept waking up wanting her pacifier but I didn't give in. I just sat there with her and said, "Mommy is so sorry you have to go through this, but it's for your own good." While I sat rubbing her head I almost started crying thinking to myself if I could take her place I would go through this for her. But I know it's a part of growing up. The morning finally came. When she woke up I made a huge deal about it and told her I was so proud of her. She beamed with joy as Daddy and I gave her lots of loves. We are so grateful to be her parents. She teaches us everyday. She really has the biggest heart when it comes down to it. We love you Adde Mae and are so proud of you!

So a little up-date on our family! We have been very busy. Dave is still working in cabinets and will be starting school here shortly. I on the other hand, have started working and going to school. Hopefully the working thing won't last too much longer because I have a really have a full plate right now. Adde is very busy growing, talking, getting into things she's not suppose to, and lovin life! She'll be 18 months in a couple of weeks. I'm so grateful to be her Mommy!

Dave thought Adde looked like a princess and I have to agree with him!

This was so funny that Dave had to get a picture! She actually fell alseep in her little doll swing! This doll swing is the same one I had growing up! I love the fact that Adde gets to play with it now.

Adde wanted to wear the Easter present my Mom got her while hunting for eggs! She loved all the candy!

Here we are Christmas morning! We were in Okanogan with Dave's family. We actually surprised everyone! They didn't know we were coming. Addelyn had fun eating the chocolate that was in Daddy's stocking. We had such a good time there and were so happy to have a very white Christmas!

Our little Adde Mae turned one year in November. She got lots of presents and enjoyed eating her cake. We still can't believe how fast this year went by!

We hope everyone had a great holiday season. Our holidays were filled with lots of love and happiness. We had a great time being with our friends and family. This is our Thanksgiving picture. Adde kind of looks mad. She didn't want to take pictures. Oh well I just have to roll with it.

Hello Everyone,

We Hope you all had a fantasic summer. We were very busy between visiting family and the many projects we have going on in our home. All in all it was a good summer. Addelyn Mae is growing like a weed. She is 11 months old and is walking everywhere and getting into everything. A couple of days ago she decided to get out of the bath all by herself and scared Mommy to death. She is a big challenge but at the same time our greatest blessing. We love her so much and can't believe she's growing up so fast. We still live in Arizona and we love it here. Nothing can beat the weather in the winter time. We Hope this finds all of you in good health this autumn season. We look forward to hearing from all of you!
